Ann’s Wedding

I love everything about Ann’s wedding! Her dress, flowers and all the pretty blush bridesmaid dresses, everything soft and romantic. Once a bride tells me their theme I made sure there hair and makeup ties in especially the colors. My favorite looks for a blush wedding are always warm smokey browns on the eye lids, dewy skin and pink hues for cheeks and lips. We did airbrush foundation on everyone to achieve that natural glowy skin and soft waves on all the bridesmaids. Ann’s hair was strategically pinned into a low bun which can be taken off later in the evening so that it’s half down. Everyone looked so beautiful and chic, I love the final results and the photographs are so dreamy.

Mommy and Colette

These Mommy and Me sessions are definitely becoming my favorite, they’re so precious and gives me all the feels.

We took these around Mother’s day this year which meant May Gray in California, so the only time the lighting was good was during sunset which meant Colette’s bedtime. We thought since she loves being at the beach and having her dad around to make her laugh, it would be fine. Boy were we wrong! Don’t mess with babies and their sleep schedules.

Colette’s normally the happiest baby and a natural in front of the camera but right when we were about to start, she shook her head as soon as her toes touched the sand. She only wanted to be held and signed for some milk. The wind didn’t help either she was making chattering noises and being quite dramatic bundled in her blankie,  you can see in some of the pictures she was not having it but somehow I find it so adorable and kind of funny.

Felt so bad that she was cold and wasn’t having a good time,  so we wrapped up after 10- 15 minutes. Although, we didn’t get many shots of her alone, the few that we do have, I absolutely love! Having an amazing photographer is really everything.

Instead of taking pictures, our family enjoyed watching the sunset together and then headed out to a relaxing dinner near by. Its always these sweet moments with my family that I’ll cherish forever and what I think about every time I look at these images. 🙂

I love weddings and am always happy when one of my friends gets married especially when its a very close friend!

I was honored that Liz asked me to do her hair and makeup for her big day! Although, I was now getting her glammed up for her wedding day and homecoming or prom, not much has changed since our high school days when we’re together. Liz had be to ready bright and early at the beautiful Fairmont Olympic Hotel in downtown Seattle. Getting her and the bridal party dolled up was just so much fun and nostalgic. Backstreet boys was playing on the stereo, lots of laughs and references about our high school day and LOTS of hot pinks, Liz’s favorite color!

I wanted to incorporate her favorite color into her makeup look somehow so I decided to go with a YSL lip stain in a fuchsia pink color and kept the rest of her makeup clean and flawless with very neutral eyes and a winged out liner for some glam. Half up hair style with some loose curls really suits her and completed her look. She looked absolutely stunning and was gleaming, I was so happy to be apart of her big day. Congrats Liz and Ryan!

Maria (who is also my new sister-in-law) wanted something soft and romantic for her rustic themed wedding. I am a huge fan of soft makeup for outdoor weddings, so I played up the eyes and did lots of contouring so that the features shows up in photos. I blended everything out with soft shades of pinks and peaches so that the makeup looks pretty and subtle which works for both morning and evening.

Maria’s big day started at 9:00 am for her Chinese Tea Ceremony, so we started the makeup at 5 am and no one needed any touch ups throughout the entire day! I just made sure the girls reapply their lips after they eat, the makeup last until midnight! The wedding venue was straight from a wedding magazine, such a pretty wedding!

Debbie had two weddings one in O.C. and one in S.D. Here are photo’s from her O.C. church ceremony. We kept everything simple because it was a day time event. She looked glowy and flawless, using bronzey shadows on eyes and warm peaches on cheeks and lips.

Alexis + Erik

Alexis was another cool and relaxed bride I had the pleasure of working with. Her wedding was held at the Sheraton Harbor Island in San Diego.  I had so much fun doing her hair and makeup right next to an opened balcony with the nice ocean breeze.  She is such a beautiful bride you can see her glowing from inside out, I am honored to have taken part on her big day. Congrats Alexis!

Jacky’s Wedding

We got Jacky and her 5 bridesmaids and Mother ready at by 9 am. All the girls were so much fun even early in the morning. They each had a different hair and makeup styles, but still looked similar. Makeup was soft lips and smokey eyes and hair was wavy with lots of volume. The beautiful bride had pretty smokey eyes using warmer shades of browns and kept her blush and lips neutral but with a hint of pink.
